Four hours of art, craftsmanship and live music in the heart of Ronse
Sunday, 6 September | 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM
From live painting and craft demonstrations to Flemish singer-songwriter music, local Ronse music and folk tales, textile art, ceramics, jewellery, violin, handpan, local heritage and contemporary AI art, Montmartre will offer an afternoon full of discoveries across the city centre.

Stories from Ronse
Morgane La Fay
Stories will also have their place at Montmartre. Morgane La Fay will share, among others, traditional folk tales from Ronse, introducing visitors to stories that form part of the city's local heritage and imagination.
Flemish Ardennes Art Academy
22 students creating live
Under the guidance of Gert Crispyn and Sara Vantomme, the students will demonstrate their techniques and creative process live.
More than 50 creatives
Throughout the route, you will meet more than 50 artists, craftspeople, students, musicians and other creative makers.
Discover painters, ceramic artists, illustrators, a cartoonist, jewellery makers and many other disciplines as they present their work or create live in front of visitors.

From traditional techniques in the streets to contemporary AI art in the gallery, Montmartre brings different forms of creativity together.
Historical footage & CultuurLink
Montmartre is not only about creativity today, but also about the cultural heritage of Ronse.
Throughout the afternoon, a large LED screen will show historical footage from earlier Montmartre celebrations.
The different working groups of the municipal cultural advisory council CultuurLink will also be presented, including the groups behind the carillon, Poetry Day, Vlaanderen Feest, Ronssies Geklapt, Reveil and other initiatives.
Historical footage of the restoration of the carillon and the unveiling of the Buunie statue will also be shown.
The films and presentations will run continuously throughout the afternoon.
Buunie gets a new outfit!
Buunie is joining Montmartre too.
For Montmartre Ronse 2026, the well-known Buunie statue will receive a brand-new outfit, thanks to Ronssies Geklapt.
A playful nod to Ronse, its stories and its distinctive character — perfectly in the spirit of Montmartre.
An artistic surprise from Spectrum
The Spectrum art working group is also preparing something special for Montmartre.
What exactly?
We’re keeping that a secret for now. 😉
To discover the artistic surprise, you’ll have to come to Montmartre Ronse on 6 September.
Afterwards: final summer carillon concert
The day does not have to end when Montmartre finishes.
At 7:00 PM, the final summer carillon concert begins.
City carillonneur Dominique Wybraeke and his wife Els Van den Borre will perform a four-hands carillon concert. Their son Lucas will also perform a trumpet intermezzo.
The recital will be dedicated to Dominique’s late father.
Visitors who would like to listen in a quieter setting can use the designated listening area in Pêcheré Square, next to the crypt. The concert can of course also be enjoyed from the surrounding terraces.
The large LED screen to the right of the basilica will also show a live projection from inside the carillon cabin.
7:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Yes. The historic city centre offers a wide variety of cafés, restaurants and terraces where you can enjoy food and drinks throughout the day.
