Montmartre Ronse 2026
An afternoon of art, encounters and connection
On 6 September 2026, Montmartre once again took over the historic centre of Ronse.
Thousands of visitors came to look, listen, chat and watch artists creating live. For four hours, art, craftsmanship, music and stories filled the streets, squares and green spaces in the historic heart of the city.
Our ArtNomadique Gallery also welcomed around 200 visitors that day.
For us, Montmartre was never just about showing art. We mainly wanted to bring people together. Art became a reason to stop for a moment, start a conversation, discover something new and meet one another.
And judging by the many reactions afterwards, the people of Ronse clearly understood that. ❤️

KUNSTACADEMIE VLAAMSE ARDENNEN
22 students from Kunstacademie Vlaamse Ardennen also created live during Montmartre.
Under the guidance of Gert Crispyn and Sara Vantomme, visitors could see up close how different techniques and creative processes came to life.
AI GALLERY – ARTNOMADIQUE
Our ArtNomadique Gallery at Wijnstraat 16 was also part of the Montmartre route.
Around 200 visitors came through the gallery that day.

From traditional techniques in the streets to contemporary AI art in the gallery, Montmartre brought very different forms of creativity together.
MONTMARTRE PRIZE 2026 🏆
We still had one surprise in store for the participants.
Nobody knew beforehand that a Montmartre Prize would also be awarded during the event.
Our regional HLN reporter Kobe Audenaert was appointed jury member for the occasion and given the difficult task of choosing his personal top three from the participating artists.

Camilo Zambrano Quinteros became the winner of the Montmartre Ronse 2026 trophy.
A surprise for the artists and a beautiful way to round off the day. ❤️

Thanks to ’T Ronssies Geklapt, Ronse’s well-known little statue was given a true Montmartre look for the occasion, complete with beret and artist’s outfit.

BEHIND THE SCENES
From a crazy idea to thousands of visitors
Dieter Deconinck and Marc Janssens put Montmartre Ronse 2026 together as a team of two in barely three months.
From finding and selecting artists to permits, city services, sponsors, communication, administration, electricity, materials, planning, parking, safety and the final set-up.
If someone had told us three months earlier what we were getting ourselves into, they probably would have called us crazy. 😅
But after this edition, we mainly know exactly why we did it.
