More than fifty years ago, artists, craftspeople and musicians brought the streets of Ronse to life.On Sunday, 6 September 2026, we will write a new chapter together.
For the very first edition of the renewed Montmartre Ronse, we are looking for artists, craftspeople and musicians who would love to share their passion with the public.
Not only the finished work.
But also the story behind it.
We dream of a Montmartre where a painter works at an easel, a ceramic artist demonstrates their craft, a blacksmith brings iron to life, a basket weaver keeps a traditional skill alive and a glass artist shares the beauty of their craft with visitors.
A place where an illustrator draws live, a woodworker shapes timber, a jewellery maker creates by hand, and where leatherworkers, textile artists, calligraphers, sculptors and other creative makers proudly share their passion.
And why not an accordion player, violinist or acoustic guitarist filling the streets with music?
Perhaps you have a creative talent we haven't even thought of yet.
Tell us about it. We'd love to discover it.
Montmartre Ronse is not a traditional art market.
We believe that the encounter between a maker and a visitor can be just as meaningful as the artwork, the music or the craft itself.
That's the atmosphere we want to create together.
